Why Your Home Staging Project Should Be Like the Airport

25 May , 2016

Runways are important to keep clear if you’re looking for a successful take off or a clean landing. You’ve got to make sure nothing is in the way, its clear, and ready for takeoff. The same goes for any room in your home. You can’t get anywhere if your room is just a cluttered mess.

Home Staging the Right Way, Leave Some Space!Stornoway_Airport_Runway - home staging

Make your room and make your home really feel like home, by using different forms of rugs and furniture to give it character! Here’s the catch though: you want some breathing room! Decorating and home staging can be difficult to do the right way, because all you ever want to do, is just add things here and there, until eventually, it becomes too much.

That’s where the red light starts flashing! Yes decor is always a plus, but it needs to be positioned the right way, otherwise this will turn off potential buyers of your home!

The absolute best way to go about your home staging is to use different area rugs, and try using floating furniture (away from the walls). You need to do your best to AVOID blocking off any sort of walking path within the room. Keep it open! Try to allow at least 3 feet (give or take) of walking room between furniture and accessories to really give the room character, all while keeping it spacious.

23 Apr , 2016

“Hello Agent,” gesture to well-dressed individual with brief case to sit in your selling-room, “I’m ready to sell my home.  Can you help me?”

“Yes,” smiles the smug Real Estate Agent who knows not much about your community, hasn’t ever sold a home in your neighborhood and makes the buyer the priority; personal preference.

ERRRRRRT.  Stop.  Ask the right questions.
